On 29 July to 11 August 2019, more than 60 volunteers from University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Tongji University, Tsinghua University, Kunming University of Science and Technology and Project WeCan participated in a 2-week service trip. Our goal is to build a 14 meters bailey footbridge, and a series of community enrichment activities for the Naxi minority village in Meile village, Yunnan Province. We took 7 hours bus drive to reach the village from Kunming city. It was a great experience to learn and serve together, while it was such an unforgettable moment to witness the villagers (with children, women, farmers, and old people...even the dogs) got on and crossed the bridge without affecting by the river water.
