The earliest type of footbridge Wu Zhi Qiao built in remote and rural villages was Gabion Footbridge.

Gabion Footbridge is easy to build, both by villagers and students volunteers, and it is eco-friendly by using local resources such as rock.

In the past 5 years, student and volunteer teams of Wu Zhi Qiao has built 24 footbridges, 1 village post-earthquake re-establishment and a series of village enrichment projects. Besides of improving lives of underprivileged people with basic infrastructure, Wu Zhi Qiao also built many bridges of mind and spirit cementing peoples together.
