We are pleased to announce that Wu Zhi Qiao (Bridge to China) Charitable Foundation (WZQ) will be collaborating for the first time with the Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble (HKGDE). The WZQ x HKGDE Charity Concert will be held on 6 July 2024 (Saturday) at 7:30pm at The Hong Kong Jockey Club Amphitheatre, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, aiming to raise funds for WZQ's rural revitalization and youth development projects in Hong Kong and the Mainland.
Founded in 2007, WZQ through encouraging the youth in Hong Kong and the Mainland participate in rural revitalization on a voluntary basis with the application of the concept of sustainable development, to build heart bridge between HK-Mainland youth, provide multi-learning opportunities, improve villagers' quality of life, and support the sustainable development. Over the past 17 years, WZQ has provided thousands of students with service-learning and volunteering opportunities and carried out diverse rural revitalization projects that have benefited tens of thousands of villagers in need.
HKGDE, in its short six-year history, has already held over 100 concerts and performances in Hong Kong and various cities in the Mainland. Through the works of the young composer-in-residence and musicians, the lost musical scenes in the paintings within the Dunhuang grottos were recreated and enlivened, promoting China's most precious world cultural heritage.
This time, we use music as a bridge, leading the audience to contemplate the connectedness between human and nature. You are cordially invited to join us for a special night, where we come together to praise the harmonious sound of the universe. We are most pleased to share the enclosed sponsorship options and reply slip for your kind consideration. To facilitate the preparation work, your reply on or before 19 June 2024 (Wednesday) would be highly appreciated.
